Final Conference of the VoiCEs Project (22 September 2023)
Value of including Children Experience for improving their rights during hospitalization
The final conference of the VoiCEs Project (Value of including the Children Experience for improving their rightS during hospitalization) will be held on September 22nd at Meyer Health Campus and will be co-hosted by Sant’Anna School and AOU Meyer.
The project, co-financed by the European Union, aims to enhance the participation of children in the evaluation and improvement of healthcare quality during hospitalization, bringing together the academic (Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies), the public healthcare (Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence, BKUS Children’s University Hospital in Riga, HUS New Children’s Hospital in Helsinki, EMC Sophia Children’s Hospital in Rotterdam) and the non-profit (UNICEF Italy) sectors.
During this event, addressed to policy makers, health and social authorities, professionals and stakeholders’ representatives, the participants will discuss the results of the implementation of the new paediatric questionnaire in three children’s hospitals in Europe, and will share the outputs.
The program and the inscription form for online or in person participation will be shared in the following weeks.

The Campus can be reached from the parking lot of the Meyer Hospital (entry Viale Pieraccini, 24) through a pedestrian walkway.
By car
From the A1: take the Firenze Nord exit and follow for Florence until the motorway ends (in Peretola). From here, follow signs to Ospedale MEYER.
From the A11: continue until the end of the motorway (in Peretola) and then follow signs to Ospedale MEYER.
From the Firenze – Siena Raccordo Autostradale (motorway junction): continue to the roundabout at the Firenze Impruneta motorway tollbooth. Turn left on to the A1 motorway, following signs to Bologna, and exit at the Firenze Nord tollbooth.
From the S.G.C. FI-PI-LI (the road connecting Florence, Pisa and Livorno): after the Scandicci exit, pass the A1 slip road and exit at Viadotto dell’Indiano. At the roundabout, continue following signs for Viadotto dell’Indiano. Go straight on at the traffic lights and follow signs for Ospedale MEYER.
The car park adjacent to the Meyer hospital is Firenze Parcheggi – Pieraccini
It is possible to park for free in the parking lot in via delle Gore, a 15-minute walk from the hospital.
By bus
Line 33 -> stop PIAZZA MEYER
Line 43 -> stop SERPIOLLE/CERCINA/PIAN DI S.BARTOLO
Line 40 -> stop VILLA LA MERIDIANA
Tram 1 -> stop CAREGGI (13-minutes walk from the Meyer Health Center)
